Reeves, a struggling actor in the film industry, faces a career-changing opportunity that requires him to leave his hometown, leaving behind his family and friends. Upon relocating to LA, he receives numerous movie role offers, but his best friend Abbie, stuck in an abusive relationship, seeks refuge by visiting Reeves. Together, they reassess their lives, with Abbie torn between staying with her boyfriend and Reeves realizing the importance of finding a life partner. Despite the distance, they maintain contact until a shocking incident prompts Reeves to take a stand, leading to a complex and uncertain future for their relationship.
